The Hospitality and Tourism Management program provides you with knowledge necessary for success in enterprises related to the meetings, travel, tourism, gaming ,and hospitality industries. The program in HTM at Northeastern State University was one of the first to be approved by the Professional Convention Management Association. The program consists of three distinct but interrelated components: Meeting and convention management, tourist destination development, and gaming operations and procedures. The meeting and convention management program emphasizes managing and serving meetings, conventions, trade shows, and special events. If you specialize in tourist destination development, you study the development, management and marketing of tourist attractions and destination. If you specialize in gaming, you learn about gaming operations and procedures. All HTM classes are offered online on a two-year cycle.
