Kin Thompson is a passionate instructor who is part of the NSU College of Business and Technology. Earning his undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Arkansas in 1978.  He then furthered his education completing an MBA in Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis, from the University of Arkansas in 1988.

Northeastern State University was his first full-time job and this will be his 32nd year teaching Business courses. While he really enjoys teaching statistics, his favorite part about being a professor is working with students.

Although he recently retired in July of 2022, Thompson’s love for the profession is what makes him continue teaching at NSU on a part-time basis. Mr. Thompson frequently travels to different cities in the country giving talks about leadership development directed towards different groups of students from various universities. Kin said, “I am very pleased with the announcement of my being chosen as a Centurion, I think it is really nice and I'm very appreciative of the people that nominated me even though I don't know who they are. I think it is really cool to know that people thought about you.”
