NSU Professors Highlight Future of Accounting at National Conference
The College of Business and Technology is proud to announce that Dr. Doris Feltham and Dr. Megan Weinkauf were invited to speak at the American Accounting Association’s 2025 Conference on Teaching and Learning in Accounting (CTLA), which took place August 2–3 in Chicago.
Dr. Feltham and Dr. Weinkauf served as panelists for a session titled “The Future of Accounting: Is the Profession Obsolete in the Age of AI?” The presentation highlighted findings from their research project, “Aligning Accounting Education with AI-Driven Industry Needs,” conducted in collaboration with fellow researcher Dr. Sanchari Ghosh.
Their work explored how accounting education could better equip graduates with the AI competencies and tools essential for success in a rapidly changing profession.
The CTLA was hosted by the American Accounting Association (AAA), the leading organization for accounting academics since 1916. The AAA was recognized for promoting innovation, research, and excellence in accounting education.
As active members of the AAA, Dr. Feltham and Dr. Weinkauf were honored to represent Northeastern State University on a national stage. Please join us in congratulating them on this outstanding achievement!
